I live in a community where there appears to be a lot of options, but everyone “knows” everyone. I’m also not finding connection or attracted to any of the options where I’m at. Even though partnership is pushed on everyone because it is a social expectation, I’m finding I don’t prioritize this, I prefer one or two good friends.

i've come to accept that im okay with being alone for the rest of my life due to my last rls (before i realized im a lesbian). tho its still annoying that just bc im a lesbian i shouldnt hold a high standard like i always did back when i dated men. in fact, my standards are getting higher than ever. irdgaf what anyone else says settling less drove me insane i am not gonna compromise for what i could provide for myself & my potential partner

i had to leave a city for a small town at the beginning of the year, it has been so draining trying to maintain any kind of community let alone dating. I hate feeling like I am bouncing between too picky and not actually conecting with people becuase there are so few options.
