164 dollar ticket. I got one in Tennessee a few years back and it was like 12 or 15 dollars.

Take it to your DA office, have that same conversation with the DA or their assistant and it will most likely get dropped.

File the complaint. Could be a common theme with him and if there’s multiple of the same complaints, then it’s not just your word against his. It’s several vs. his. You’re right, it would cost more to lawyer up and fight and would be a tough case to win, unless you took it to a bench trial and he did show up to testify it could get dropped. But then you’re in it for a lot more money than $164 too

Michigan here, they do it for exactly that reason. A $160 ticket will cost you $250 to fight and that’s what they count on. It’s damn near racketeering and without video evidence it’s impossible to do anything about it.
