Am I the only one who actually liked the ending? Of course I would have preferred an ending where Cath and Jest end up together, but I still found the “off with his head” ending strangely satisfying. Maybe it’s because in my head I’m creating a sort of book two, where Cath goes to Chess and eventually finds Jest alive and well. (I know Heartless is a standalone, but that’s how I got myself through the book.) Somtimes I do think that he wouldve hated who she became.. he wouldn’t wanted that for her, her heart, her life..

Didn't end for me there, which is why I'm doing proper follow-up story. I just need time, but I am determined. I will be changing the title from: "The Gift of Time", with something to do with what my main storyline is about, which is healing past/broken bonds. It will hopefully be very emotional, and will hopefully connect, just like Heartless did. I am currently brainstorming ideas, I even act as the characters to get a better understanding of them.
