I’m in the automotive industry. I feel our industry is more regulated and more strict than the building industry. If mechanics worked like this, we’d get flammed, threatened and be held accountable by customer and governing authorities. But hey, not my house not my problem. You can clearly see the governing bodies/inspectors need to get their shit sorted. You must feel like a broken record and to make it worse, it seems like the inspectors are either blind or in the pocket of some builders?

steel work isn't necessarily done by the builder it's done by a lintel or engineering company and installed by them aswell it's up to the builder to pass off before the building inspector passes off on it using windows packers to level the post the grout is put in after its leveled off shocking job all round though

Yes but the customer will end up having to pay for the repairs and if they take them to court they just change their business name and start again

My new roof was dodgy and flooded my kitchen went through QBCC and he wasn't licenced he'd been using someone else's, just been given a $40.000 fine that I know of but he had done more. glad he has criminal record for fraud

All because of the dirty loop holes mate. People rent builder’s license and hire inexperienced staff. Reality is not every inspection guy is as good as you.
