@ellinasfam: @Filoli has become our little get away between SF and Palo Alto where you easily can spend the whole day with kids and if you want to connect with nature. Ever since discovering this place we have been going there monthly. If you love taking your kids outdoors 🍁🍃, I promise you wont regret coming - they change themes regularly so its never boring. I got the membership after visiting this place once! From November 22, 2025—January 11, 2026 they have created Thistlewyck, a temporary holiday village that features tiny trains, fairy houses, and a holiday-themed experience with an add on 25$ passport to get stamps from elves which gives you a free hot cocoa and an elf hat at the end. You can send letters to Santa at their Elf Emporium. Dont forget to dress up your kids (dress warmly as its chilly in the forest) ! Lots of fun for kids. There are 2 entrances you can access it from. If you’re interested in visiting a beautiful estate, park at their main parking and skip the long walk along the forest. If you want to directly access the little village you should park slightly earlier - directions are on the road so you shouldn’t miss it. They have day and evening programs and are genuinely one of the beat organised parks Ive been to.
