Many people believe that cravings and body shape can predict whether a baby will be a boy or a girl during pregnancy. Some say craving sweets or chocolates means it’s a girl, while craving salty or sour foods means it’s a boy. Others believe that a low baby bump means a boy and a higher bump means a girl. But medically, these are only myths and there is no scientific proof behind them. The real reason depends on chromosomes. A mother always carries an X chromosome, while the father carries either an X or a Y chromosome. If the father passes an X chromosome, the baby will be a girl (XX). If he passes a Y chromosome, the baby will be a boy (XY). Baby gender is decided at the moment of fertilization, not by cravings, belly shape, or food choices during pregnancy. Every pregnancy is different, and symptoms can vary from woman to woman. The most reliable way to know the baby’s gender is through a medical ultrasound or genetic testing advised by doctors. #Pregnancy #BabyGender #PregnancyMyths #BoyOrGirl #PregnancyFacts
