It’s the same in NYC. The tap water is very clean and safe to drink, but my partner from out-of-state didn’t believe me and was freaked out by the concept of getting water from something that wasn’t a bottle or jug

that milkyness is from the tap itself it's a feature, it aerates the water and it sticks to you hands and surfices, great if you wash some dishes in the sink 🫡
