I waited for Patrick Clancy’s 60 Minutes interview expecting ANSWERS… and when it ended, I somehow had MORE questions. 👀 The Lindsay Clancy trial became one of the most intensely followed trials in the country. So when Patrick Clancy agreed to sit down with 60 Minutes for his first major interview following the mistrial, I genuinely expected an extensive conversation. Instead, the actual television segment was approximately 15 minutes. And then… we’re talking about AI data centers. 😭 To be fair, CBS DID subsequently make an approximately 28-minute extended version of Patrick’s interview available online, which gives us more than the television broadcast did. (CBS News) But I still find the editorial choices in the televised segment fascinating. Patrick has repeatedly described himself as a private person who moved to New York partly because he wanted to grieve anonymously. Yet this wasn’t just Patrick sitting down to discuss Cora, Dawson and Callan, Lindsay’s mental-health crisis, what he witnessed leading up to January 24, 2023, and everything that has happened since. His new wife, Dr. Rachel Danis, joined the interview. Rachel is a reproductive endocrinologist and fertility specialist. She and Patrick say they met through a New York running club in January 2024, their relationship eventually became romantic, and they married in April 2026. (CBS News) And then came the moment that REALLY surprised me. The interviewer asks: “And you guys are starting a family?” They say yes. Patrick then talks about eventually telling their child about their older brothers and sister—Cora, Dawson and Callan. (CBS News) And look: Patrick is absolutely allowed to rebuild his life. He’s allowed to fall in love again. He’s allowed to remarry. And he’s allowed to have more children. I don’t think ANY of those things are inherently wrong. What I found strange was the SETTING chosen to publicly introduce that chapter. We are weeks removed from a mistrial over the deaths of Patrick’s three children. There are still enormous unanswered questions surrounding whether Lindsay will face another trial. And during this relatively short televised interview about an unimaginable family tragedy, we’re suddenly being introduced to Patrick’s new wife AND learning they’re starting another family. Why HERE? Why THIS interview? And why devote part of such a limited segment to that announcement? Maybe 60 Minutes wanted to show what rebuilding a life after unimaginable grief actually looks like. Maybe Patrick wanted people to understand that moving forward doesn’t mean replacing Cora, Dawson and Callan. He specifically said he intends for his future children to know about their siblings. That’s an entirely legitimate interpretation. But as a viewer who followed this entire trial, I still wanted MORE. More about what Patrick understands now that he didn’t understand in 2023. More about Lindsay’s treatment. More about what he heard during the trial. More about what he thinks went wrong. More about Cora, Dawson and Callan. Because if you’re going to get Patrick Clancy to finally sit down for 60 Minutes… I wanted 60 MINUTES of Patrick Clancy. And there’s another conversation surrounding Patrick and Rachel that I want to get into separately, because their relationship has generated an enormous amount of discussion online. I want to separate what’s actually known from what people are simply speculating about. So FOLLOW because theres more parts to come and this is in the Lindsay Clancy playlist to see all the videos I have put out on this case. But first: Were YOU satisfied with Patrick’s interview or did you finish it feeling like we barely scratched the surface? 👀 #lindsayclancy #MentalHealth #RachelDanis #postpartum #60minutes
