If it’s above 100.4 then it isn’t teeth! It’s a virus or infection! It also might just be the first symptom and he’ll get worse. Definitely don’t bring around others until fever free for 24 hours!

Watch out for a body rash in a few days. My first had this - super random high high temp for a day or two then a few days later an extreme splotchy rash. Ended up being 5ths disease or something?

My pediatrician said sometimes some kids just randomly spike high fevers. There’s a name for it but I can’t remember. I’ll report back when it comes to me at 3 am.

Ok this is sooo weird bc my son just got over the same exact thing and he was wearing the same shirt yesterday lol. But yes fever was up to 104.5 at one point 😳 he’s finally better today! Dr said just viral

Yes girl my son is the same way! Any time his body went through any changes (teething, exhaustion, etc) he would spike a fever but be acting like a maniac 🤣 we always say: as long as he is aware, and keeping liquids down, we good 👍🏽

My munchkin had a fever for a few day and no other symptoms. It’s a virus. Also, it could be an ear infection. Either way, it is a good sign that he is acting fine!

My daughter and her sisters all run fevers randomly. I think that as long as they are eating and drinking, I would let it run. The body is fighting something but he’s tough. If it lasts over 48 hours, take him to be seen.

Aww poor guy! It may be a virus. My daughter had something similar and it ended up being H-Flu and an ear infection 😅

Get his ears checked. High fever with no other symptoms ALWAYS ended up being ear infection with my kiddos!!

Russ had an ear infection when this happened but my doctor always says let a fever run its course because it’s fighting something and only use Motrin once it gets high (I would’ve at 102 also) you’re doing great! Keep an eye on him
