@lionfishextermination: The state is not helping you if you want to do this for a living! In fact, even if you wanted to, it would be pretty much impossible. The cost of doing this is much higher than you might think. You need your own boat which, for most people to buy a new boat adds about a $500-$1000 payment every month depending on the boat you get maybe even more possibly less. Now you have to get a truck capable of pulling. That might be another a couple hundred dollars more than you’re currently spending on your vehicle. The upkeep for a boat is quite expensive and all of the things you need to go Diving such as oxygen on the boat, air tanks, equipment such as a couple Underwater scooters, spears tips and bands, and Zookeepers of course! Plus all of your regular dive equipment. Now we get into fuel! You need to fuel your boat and your truck. You have to have dive insurance and you need Boat insurance in case your boat craps out in the middle of the ocean. I’m definitely missing some things but you get the point. This ends up making each trip $200 to $300 and if you travel down the road a bit further, you have to pay even more for the fuel and upkeep. Plus, you don’t to get paid anything for your time. If the state is giving you $50 per person, you might make $200 that is if the people don’t want their $50. The only thing saving us is you guys! If you watch our videos, we can get a little bit of funding and then if you donate, of course we get that funding. Really I would just love all of my videos went viral then we would be set ha ha! If only! We do have over 100 videos with 1,000,000+ views sometimes we have gotten up to 25 million which is pretty insane! That’s 3% of the United States! Crazy!
