@marco.miglionico_: Rich because I’ve seen this with my own eyes… 🐧🦭👇🏻 📍South Georgia is home to some of the largest king penguin colonies on Earth, with certain sites hosting over 100,000 breeding pairs . 🐧 It is one of the best places on Earth to see multiple penguin species in one region. King penguins dominate the island with huge colonies at St. Andrews Bay, Salisbury Plain, and Gold Harbour, while macaroni penguins crowd the steep cliffs of Cooper Bay and Elsehul. Smaller groups of gentoo penguins appear around Maiviken and Prion Island, and chinstrap penguins can be spotted in rocky coastal areas like Cooper Bay. 📆 Due to its remoteness it will take you multiple flights and days of navigation to get there. But trust me, this is one of the most incredible places it in the world and it is absolutely worth the effort and cost to get there. . 🚢 The only way to reach the island is by boat.
