I'm picturing you in a Steven Tyler-ish outfit. Velvet's, brocades, corduroy. Try a more feminine structured suit with a frilly blouse under or lace. That way you get the structure but also the feminine vibe?

Maybe find some slacks/pants that you feel good in and I know you don’t like Flowey, but they can be a little more of a boot cut and then a soft fuzzy , little bit oversized sweater. Another thing you could do is go to Pinterest and make yourself a Pinterest board and once you start collecting outfits that you really like in photos, you’ll start to see more of a cohesive style that you gravitate towards.

Step one: get the undergarment down to your perfection. That means what it means: you have to achieve your desired/optimal shape using undergarments. If that means wearing a corset, do it. If that means wearing padding or shapewear, do it. Do your research and invest in what helps you achieve it. Once that’s done you can actually shop for a garment. This is especially crucial if you like structured garments. Second, think about proportions: different garments can feminize or masculinize you, therefore it is crucial to understand your proportions, and your actual visual needs. Third, be open-minded to different styles, because most importantly you must value what the garment does for you and you won't know that until you put it on, and or play with it. Also, keep in mind that fashion evolves. One thing that could help you is to wear the undergarments and shoes that give your optimal shape, and take photos; then, draw on them the garment you feel would embrace your style, or cut and paste photos of garments. I hope this helps. 🙏❤️

If you want to keep comfort first, upgrade your fabrics. A cashmere sweater is instant class. A velvet trouser. A structured jacket. If a dress is required, find a more bohemian style that speaks to you.

More formal wear never fits me how I see it on the hanger, my advice would be to grab everything that catches your eye or you enjoy the feel of the material and then try everything on. I do a “yes” “maybe” “no” system in the change room and often a pile of 15-20 dresses / outfits drops down to 2 or 3. Different sleeves, cut, hemlines, fabrics,

I think bottom line is comfort… so if you can do pants and a sweater. If it’s like gotta be a dress - mid length velvet ( warm) but not ick , and boots ?

If you have a grocery store with a Joe Fresh near you, you may have some luck there. I don't ever wear/style the pieces the same way that they advertise them but their clearance rack usually has some pretty great items to wear however you like!

Palazzo pants… elegant and comfy. Can be paired with a more structured blouse/shirt and a beautiful wrap or fitted jacket.

Something that I started wearing around a year in my transition was high waisted straight leg jeans, with a sweater and doc martens. It’s simple, and looks put together! I still wear a variation of this outfit all the time. 😊
