So, could health anxiety and symptom checking/doctor visits actually be OCD?

What about relationship OCD and needing the reassurance that your partner is faithful? There is tremendous relief when it’s given.

My daughter has OCD and emetophobia so the question of is this food good a very common question. How do you recommend we respond then?

I’m BAD about the “is this good still good” thing. I google , ask family , think back more than once on when I put in fridge. I’ll feel other items in fridge to make sure everything is still cold. It’s a whole thing.

Do you offer virtual therapy sessions? I’ve tried several different therapists that really haven’t helped. One therapist had me doing EMDR and it felt like the biggest waste of time. I feel like none of them have understood OCD

I have literally lived the fact that not getting reassurance is helpful! I pivoted from healthcare operations to healthcare strategy 2 years ago. My boss literally said “get used to ambiguity, we live in the gray area”. We do our best with understanding demand, analytics, risk analysis, etc. but we never have a way to fully guarantee or validate our next move will be successful. It has challenged me in the best possible way to “care less” & be comfortable in the unknown. Almost like exposure therapy.
