So your main point is that chatGPT doesn’t cite its sources. When you can absolutely ask it to cite sources and it will give you all the links needed. I think your main issue is actually humans that do not possess critical thinking, not AI. I do agree AI is not good for the health of the planet.

I'm in two minds after having used both. what i like about chatgpt is that it gives you well rounded answers to what you ask it and sees arguments from both sides. the thing i don't like about chatgpt is that I feel like it pushes for too much information. the thing i like about google ai mode is that it's integrated into google so it's easier to use at a tap. but what i don't like about google ai mode is that I find that it can be quite dismissive which can come off as rudeness and can be really quite bossy telling you to put your phone down close your eyes and go to sleep right now.

The oligarchy is about to use AI to make most humans obsolete while half of us are still willing to make sure everyone "has to work hard for everything they have" even when the work is getting done without us... so on principle we should not be using AI and gen Z especially should be against it.
