I hate my hometown but do I ever miss the state surplus warehouse. Everything was always 3-5 generations old but it was dirt cheap and perfect for getting your hands dirty. I scored this old blade server for $50. Never did anything but I got a ton of old ram for my old 5th gen HP servers.

Govdeal or Public Surplus. Get old computer equipment for cheap from government, schools etc cuz they upgrade every few years so this is perfect to get homelab components

I work in Telecom construction, we get old ones here and there, but you have to hardwire the power to them yourself. And you need a converter because its -48v power. But look on ebay, guys are selling the old ones all the time. The telecom site ones are probably dirt cheap because nobody wants to wire them.
