From Egyptian funerary texts to Greek philosophy and later alchemical manuscripts, the image of a serpent consuming its own tail was never about self-destruction. It was about continuity. A loop without a seam. A universe that feeds on transformation rather than endings. In art and mysticism, the Ouroboros became a way to visualize the paradoxes we live inside. Life folds into death. Darkness births light. Endings disguise themselves as beginnings. Even on the personal level, the symbol reflects how we outgrow ourselves only to meet older versions again, changed yet familiar. Every cycle returns, but never in quite the same shape. The repetition isn’t a trap but a deepening, a spiral disguised as a circle.
