I happened to be in jail when he died and they announced it over the loudspeaker when it happened and the jail erupted into wails and cries. He touched every aspect of society.

I worked at a retirement community. There was a resident that lived there and was a professional boxer. This boxer used to hang out with Robin back in the 70s. The stories were amazing.

I've, now, gotten to where I can actually celebrate him, his life, and all that he gave us. But no celebrity death before or since affected me as hard as Robin's. For at least 2 years, the wound was too deep and raw. if I read his name, saw a clip, anything, I could feel myself getting actually trembling, water works, choked up.
