@byemmashay: When we bought this house, we heard a lot of noise about not putting any money or effort into changing anything because it was a “starter home,” but I’ll never regret what we’ve done here. Nothing major, just a whole lot of paint, some wallpaper, and some minor upgrades like putting lights in the basement. This was our first home together, and it deserved to feel special. Plus, everything we did here was sort of practice for our next home — one we hope to be in for a long, long time. In our little old home, we honed our style, practiced our DIY skills, learned to garden, and do electrical work. I’ll always look back on this house fondly.
