Probably a difference between Canadian and US employment law. Canada has much better employee benefit laws than most states. This would/could not happen in Canada

I learned this one the hard way. Clean your desk before you tell the mamager... Oh and tell your coworkers all the detail because the NEXT person will give zero notice.

I’ve given 4 different companies a two weeks notice, all 4 let me go the same day with two weeks additional pay and benefits until the end of the month… none of them high end, none of them billion dollar companies… it’s just good business

It has been widely said to me that you should never give a notice if you are not prepared to also be fired that day. every company I've give it a notice to has honored that notice, but I am also prepared if they don't

Had a company do me worse. The vp showed on my jobsite a Wednesday afternoon. im 4 hours from my home, terminated my employment, nepotism took my job, no severance no nothing then tried to claim i stole company property. I stole nothing whatsoever.

I have only given 2 weeks to one place! That’s only because they invested in me, helped me when I failed and couched me on how to be better! Heavily considering go back to that job!

Happened to me a month ago. I worked one of the weeks then got sacked off and didn’t get paid for the 2 weeks 😂😂😂
