@brie_matthews: Updates to come over on Instagram! Woke up to pump & then my mom ears could hear her crying from the other room so not a “full full” night of sleep, BUT I got 7 total hours, which is the most since Monroe has been born 👏🏼 #4monthsleepregression #sleepregression #motherhood #metapartner #secondtimemom
If giving her bottles at night helps her sleep , give her the bottle… pump fresh milk and let him help.

Girl her a bottle for the last feed before bed. dad gives bottle at 10pm and mom pumps. You then know she gets a good full feed and will sleep a longer stretch. When bf overnight they “snack” and never get fully full

have you considered moving her into her own room that was massive game changer for us both times

When you feed her during the day. 10 minutes one side. 10 minutes other side. Then give a 3-4 ounce bottle during the day.

Maybe try “switching” her by giving her some big bottles during the day - so you can pump but during day time hours. Give her a big bottle feed before bed and see how she does?? And maybe try for a few days and not just one? Glad you got a good nights sleep! Definitely implement this like

My little one got into a bad habit of waking up and nursing just enough to go back to sleep and would be up in 1-2 hours and keep doing it not drinking a belly full

Bump her up to 4.5-5 ounces maybe? Switch to her own room in a crib! Nurse during the day & bottles at night

We’re working on this with my 6 month old for a few weeks. He’s starting to get it but it took 4-5weeks to get used to. Slowi my stretching day feeds to 2.5-3hrs and I feed twice in the 3 hrs leading up to bedtime (so 1.5 hr feed gap rather than 2.5-3). Hrs slowly getting into feeding every 4 hrs through the night and now we have more of a timed night feeding (11pm,3am,6/7am). That’s just the rhythm he fell into over time. Hope it’s getting better for you ❤

Every child I’ve ever met including mine have a 4 to 5 month sleep regression. It’s awful but it does eventually get better

If she does better with a bottle, maybe pump a little during the day and prepare a couple bottles at night so she can already have bottles ready and you don’t have to pump every time.

With both of my girls they did 10x better with my husband getting up with them. If I did it was an every hour thing. If he did they’d sleep much longer stretches.

We switched to bottle feeding his last feed before bed. Filled him up more than nursing. But it was not an easy emotional decision for mama 🥺🫶

Something that worked well for us was giving a bottle before bed, and putting more in that bottle. So he was full going to bed, and that’s when i would pump! he started only waking up once after that and i would bf then!

One thing we learned about our babe at around 4 months was she had fomo. If she heard us roll over or move she would wake up. We went from once MAYBE twice wakes at night to every hour as well but once we moved her into her own room she found her sleep rhythm again🥰

if she’s sleeping better at night with a bottle and then being laid back down, even if y’all both have to wake up to tag team it, pump really quick while she’s taking the bottle and then back to sleep you both go. i’m struggling with this right now myself, my 4 month old takes a bottle at 9-10pm and sleeps till 2-3am and then after that i nurse and he wakes up 4:30am, 6am so the longest stretch is with a bottle.

If she’s close to 4 months, it’s not a good time to start trying to improve sleep habits. Closer to 5 months she will be ready for sleep training and you can move that direction once tha regression is over!
