Oil is a finite resource, meaning it doesn't last forever, the economics behind investing in a refinery to last 50 years or so is highly impractical, an example of this is Trinidad and Tobago today. secondly oil refineries are only profitable once oil prices are high, and in that particular market the price can become very volatile, what will happen when we as a small nation such as ourselves can't export refined oil for a liveable price? y'all need to think beyond just gratification, lack of understanding creates misinformation such as the video above.
