The biggest misconception of the roadrunner is that it appears he is big, like the size of an ostrich. When I finally saw a picture of a real roadrunner it was shocking how small they were.

Fun fact, bugs liking carrots wasnt random. His early appearance with the carrot was a direct parody of Clark Gable in a scene from the film “it happened one night” in which Gable is chomping on a carrot and being a wise guy. So the rabbit/ carrot myth was actually sprung from a celebrity parody.

Also depends on church. I grew up Pentecostal, and they believed that he was the builder of the Tower of Babel. so it was used as an insult for someone committing the sin of pride, or someone who thought they were better/smarter/more powerful than they actually were.

fun fact: The phrase "What's up, Doc?" is linked to Clark Gable because his 1934 film, It Happened One Night, inspired the mannerisms of Bugs Bunny, who made the catchphrase famous. In the movie, a character calls Gable's character, Peter Warne, "Doc," and Gable's nonchalant carrot-eating scene was the model for Bugs Bunny's signature move.

All of this was right except the carrots. Bunnies love carrots and rabbits will usually plant carrots to eat them or will go to a local grocery store to find carrots
