Thats actually not a lot of turbulence as the wings are very flexible. 747 wing tips can deflect 12 feet in both directions. I have been on a 747 as we headed out over the pacific and experienced extreme turbulence. From my seat the wing tips were flapping like a bird and the fuselage was flexing so much the rear of the plane seats and people would disappear momentarily when I glanced down the aisle my seat was on. 🤣 The good old days when planes flew half empty.

If you look up on YouTube Boeing wing test. I believe the end of that wing can go up and down 27 or 28 feet before it has a breaking problem sure that’s uncomfortable but it’s not life-threatening.

Was jump seating on a 67 freighter and we hit some moderate clear air turbulence and after a bit I asked the captain, " How come we aren't going to a different altitude?" He replied " We are hauling boxes, they don't care about turbulence." 😂 Best flight crew!
