Nooo!!! You should have lined the bowl with vanilla wafers, alternately layered the bananas and pudding, ending with pudding. Instant pudding is 🤮, but you could go with a cooked mix. Best is homemade pudding/custard. Top with a homemade meringue, toast it lightly in the oven.
