He was granted asylum April 2025. Trumps people were in charge of vetting him before Trump granted him asylum. He was also an active CIA employee and was recruited when he was 15. Trump also was ordered by a federal judge to withdrawal the troops but didn’t listen and he could’ve avoided this. His name was also searched 20-70 times before November 25th.
