@byjacklynn: Shall I do a more in depth video on this palace? This Palazzo was one of my Florence visit highlights! I cannot believe I’ve been to Florence 4 times and never visited until now. This is Palazzo Davanzati - built in the 1300s by the powerful Florentine Davizzi family, merchants and bankers of the time. Later home to the Davanzati family, the palace is a rare example of a 14th-century residence showing the transition from medieval tower house to Renaissance palace. Inside, medieval frescoes still decorate rooms like the Hall of Parrots, the Chamber of Peacocks, and the Chatelaine of Vergy. Hi, I’m Jacklynn and I’m just a tad bit obsessed with history. I travel the world visiting historical sites and learning the stories of those who lived before us. I share everything I learn on this page so follow for more history content! #historytok #medievaltiktok
