Need help! Please! He’s my boyfriend, been dating for 4 months… we see each other once a week, and that’s fine with me. But for work reasons (his), we didn’t get to see each other last weekend and were (obviously) supposed to see today. He cancelled last minute because of work, again. I (anxious) immediately started spiraling into: “he doesn’t care. He feels nothing for me… etc…” And I KNOW it is actually a work thing, but my narrative in these cases is always the same! Help! I'm anxious. Really anxious. I've had several bad experiences with incredibly toxic exes. I'm in love with an avoidant. She's so much more precious than she realises though. I just told her "I like being close to you, but I know that's difficult for you sometimes. So, if you would like some space, you're welcome to take it." It's painful, but I think it's healthy for us.
