@pmkamlapersadbissessar: Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar: Please, do not suffer in silence. Today, I spoke at the funeral of United National Congress (UNC) councillor for Siparia East/San Francique South, Romona Victor. She was a true servant of the people. But, behind the councillor was a woman who carried private struggles. Her story reminds us that no one should have to endure their pain in silence, and that support must be within reach for anyone who feels unsafe. As Prime Minister, I reaffirm our Government’s commitment to strengthening every system designed to protect families in distress. But responsibility also rests with all of us - neighbours, relatives, friends, and every caring individual. Let part of her legacy be this: that more people feel empowered to reach out for help, and more of us respond with compassion. #Silence #Speak #Abuse #Funeral #Compassion
