I built Boeing 747s for ten years and had the privilege of helping build the final ones ever produced. The 747 is truly an incredible aircraft and one of the greatest workhorses in aviation history. From a structural and engineering standpoint, I genuinely believe there are very few aircraft that could have stayed intact through a low-speed stall sequence while tumbling end over end the way that airframe did. The 747 was built during an era when durability, redundancy, and structural integrity were prioritized at an entirely different level. It’s an aircraft I’ll always respect and be proud to have worked on.
