the fact throughout the whole song its almost like shes shouting and barley being able to keep up with the music, running short of breath and tryingher best to get her voice out there as loud as she can, but no matter how much she shouts or screams her words their still behind the music as the music is more louder, its like its interperating how women are always trying their best to get their opinion or point across to men but are constantly being put back down. the way women fight to try get their voice across hurts as much as running iut of breath does, this song shows so much for women, i love it.

i love this part of the song and i dont know if anyone else interprets it this way. when she lists out these things, its not her own personal beliefs, its how society sees her and women in general. “this isnt rage - its worth a mention/its too specific” when a man rages, its just rage. when a woman rages, its specific and particularly pointed out, “female rage.” “this is a fake internal tension, sometimes i spread out one opinion and stand on its back to gauge attention” a womans internal struggle isnt taken seriously, its seen as a superficial way to gain attention. “this is a dream, god put me in it” this line perfectly contrasts with “a message from god, a son, a holy father”, righteous men are treated as holy prophets, and are sometimes even worshipped. when a woman is righteous, she has no one to thank, not even herself, but god. the line “the message from god, does that make me his daughter”, while men are treated as god himself, no matter how great a woman is, she will always be considered second, whether it be to a man or a god.
