It wasn’t the bamboo the people from the Construction Company used cheap materials (the green thing) and it caught fire instantly

It’s not the bamboo scaffolding that’s the issue, it’s the cheap, below standard green mesh and foam being used to cut corners and the fact that the fire alarms were not working. The bamboos are still intact while you can see all the mesh has literally disappeared. They’ve literally said what the cause was and everyone’s still pressed about the bamboo part, smh

Born and raised in hk here. One thing i wanna clarify is that the bamboo itself is inflammable. Its just the construction company switch out the inflammable mesh to the low quality, flammable ones.

The bamboo was not the cause, it was more due to the netting. They were supposed to be fire resistant but cause companies want to cut cost by using cheaper alternatives the netting aren’t fire resistant hence why it caught on fire. Even using metal poles with the temperature the pole wud become weak or even melt
