In native families, we say we’re “running on Indian time” meaning traditionally, us Natives don’t have the same Western concept of time. So it could mean we plan for an event to start at 9am, but in reality it won’t actually start until like 9:45-10:30 or something. And the people who are there are just there hanging out at the event. And the people who aren’t there yet, they know the event is running in Indian time too. It’s just a whole thing lmao so I totally get it 😭

As a Mexican / Canadian I had to find this out the hard way working at a print shop. My coworker was constantly hiding from clients, because he was always late with handing in his projects. So best case scenario if you need something on a Friday, go in on Monday and tell them you need it by Wednesday. That way you’re not stressing out when it’s late 🤣🤣
