ARFID is a struggle. Lumpy mashed potatoes & chunky peanut butter are an absolutely no. Also why do I like salsa but dislike if it has any chunks in it.

mashed potato has to be chunky. if it's s.ooth like puree it's gross. I have to have walnuts in my sweet potato casserole.... TEXTURE IS EVERYTHING

Same! Like I was just explaining this to my family. I found out I have a gluten intolerance so I had to go gluten free. I couldn’t handle the texture of any of the GF bread. Well I finally found a GF bread that I like the texture. However it’s sourdough so the taste isn’t amazing (never liked sourdough) but I can get use to the taste, and I already have. But not texture

I cannot eat mushrooms specifically because of their texture. Taste is meh, texture is a full stop. I can eat onions if they are cooked through, but if they’re crunchy I just can’t. The vast majority of my “pickiness” is due to texture. I like chicken but at random the chicken can taste off and suddenly I can’t eat it but two days later I can again. 🤷🏼♀️

I can eat pudding but not jello 😂 my list goes on. Also if it smells weird I will not touch it unless it looks decent then I may try it. I was told it’s an autism thing but I think it’s part of my eating disorder 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
