I went no contact- all I wanted was acknowledgement, an apology and changed behavior. as a parent I'd move heaven and earth to fix things with my kids.

My kids have gone no contact, but I have played no victim, and they have never told me why! Sometimes it's the other parent or grandparents that cause this. It seriously almost destroyed me, but I have healed and moved on. I still love them and will always love them. 💜

As a divorced man, with many mistakes made in my life, I never played victim and took accountability for every one of them, I apologized and from there could only ask for their “forgiveness” and let them know how much I will always love them till the day I die. Thank you for this post ,, I can only pray things can turn around before then.

I totally agree, I know I wasn’t perfect. My kids weren’t either. I have noticed that they have not come to terms with their own actions either. Their father was absent and they put him on a pedestal. All I can do is wait for them to find their way back. But it doesn’t help when you face discrimination and you can’t fight for yourself when you are powerless and have no voice. I can only wait for them to realize this. It’s not easy being a parent one way or another
