During the November 3 episode of *Live with Kelly and Mark*, the 56-year-old host revealed that she had a heated backstage disagreement with the production team over Dictionary.com's Word of the Year:
Kelly Ripa isn't afraid to challenge her own show's producers, and her latest disagreement happened over a word she simply didn't want to discuss on television. During the November 3 episode of *Live with Kelly and Mark*, the 56-year-old host revealed that she had a heated backstage disagreement with the production team over Dictionary.com's Word of the Year: "maxxing." Ripa openly admitted she wasn't happy with the choice and questioned whether viewers would even understand what the word meant. One example particularly bothered her: "looksmaxxing," an internet term referring to efforts to improve someone's physical appearance. She even turned to the studio audience to prove her point, asking whether anyone had heard of it. When the audience appeared unfamiliar with the term, Ripa playfully pointed out that she had predicted exactly that would happen. Her husband and co-host, Mark Consuelos, also joined the conversation, calling looksmaxxing "stupid" and suggesting people should probably do less of it.
