My birthday landed on the day of my grandpas funeral. No one remembered and I didn’t remind anyone. When I went to my mom’s house to go with her to the service, she surprised me a cupcake with a lit candle and sang me happy birthday. It was just us two and even the day that we buried her father, she still made me feel special and loved.

I was 16, wanted to go for a jog on a hiking trail- my Mom didn’t want me to go alone. I told her I just wanted to go by myself. “I’d be fine.” She came anyway, hiding behind trees trying to follow me discreetly. 20 mins in a man came on to the path in front of me and started to call after me. He was asking why I was here all alone, that’s when my Mom came out of no where and screamed she’s not alone! He took off into the woods and I ran so fast back to my Mom. I have never been jogging/hiking by myself since that day. I truly think she saved my life that day. ❤️

At the end of my mom’s life on hospice in my home she could no longer hear or see. She called me over to her and I took her hand. She told me you have been the most precious part of my life. I think about that everyday.

I was in the hospital having my 3rd baby, and my mom was watching my other 2 kids, and she potty trained my toddler in 3 days!!! I didn't have to have 2 kids in diapers when I got home because of her. Thank you Mom!

I was grounded and the Wizard of Oz was on and my sisters were teasing me because I couldn’t watch it. My mom left a small tv outside my door with a note that said “keep the volume down❤️)

She packed up her car one day and we left my alcoholic father. It was 1976. You didn’t leave your husband those days. Her family didn’t support her but her two girlfriends did. They became our family. She was a brave woman. She did it for me. I was 44 and she was 85 when she passed. I am forever blessed to have had her as my momma.

She would wake me up in the middle of the night to let me know it was snowing 🌨️and we would look at it and sometimes go out on the porch wrapped in blankets and listen... I miss her 💕

For reasons I won’t go into, I never had children. When my mom was dying of brain cancer, she turned to me and said “you would have made the best mother” Mom gave me many compliments throughout life - that one was the greatest ♥️♥️

I was sick the day my 1st grade class went to Disneyland and couldn't go. When I woke up that morning she'd turned the entire apartment into a giant blanket fort. Spent the whole day crawling through and watching movies under the blankets.

When I started my period she already had a little box prepared for me with all the items I needed. A book too. She is the best mother I could have ever hoped for. She is 83 and blessed to still have her.
