this happened to my sister. she dropped my nephew off at school, handed him to the teacher, and three hours later they called saying he was never in school. they called the police. teacher failed to report his attendance when she lost him. he got out another fence and a neighbor found him. teacher never got terminated and the school never said sorry.

the high school called me one time and tried to tell me that they were going to have me put in jail because my kid wasn't showing up to school enough. I asked them how many of those days did he miss the first class. they replied he's been in the first class every time. so I replied I did my job and got him there you are the one that didn't do your job and keep him there.

My school lost me in the 2nd grade. They put me on a bus to my great grandmother's house and no one was there so after an hour of waiting I started to walk back to my school that's when a teacher saw me and took me back. From that day forward they started requiring bus passes for students when they have transportation changes.
