Been working as a chef for 7 years, my executive chef who has been working for 30 years ALWAYS has a prep list. Whether it’s the smallest dinner or a 9 course tasting menu, always a prep list!

Did you ask your clients in the beginning like how flavorful they want their food, their spice tolerance and just adjust it as you go based on their feedback? Cause we each have our preferences. I wonder how that works as a private chef.

As a Yorkshireman, I just want to point out that if people want to make a more traditional Yorkshire pudding; it’s Dripping (what we call Beef tallow) that you need to cook them in. That’s how most carveries make them.
