@laborhoodbestie: So many were offended when I mentioned Tini in my post yesterday. Here are my thoughts on that. #laboranddelivery #laboranddeliverynurse #birth #tini #placentalabruption
I don’t see a problem with your video you were just educating other women, my story post was for those wanna be news/drama pages

Appreciate the education on placental abruption. It NEEDS to be talked about more...

she asked people not to use it as content but like... not in the way that you took the opportunity to educate about a serious possible complication. and now those people who are attacking educators have caused unnecessary controversy. sigh.

Exactly your content is educational. You’re not gossiping. You’re not a vlog. There’s a difference.

thank you for educating us women. I am pregnant with my fourth baby and this time around, I do have some medical complications with this one. its nice to learn about things like this so we can keep an eye out for symptoms. Although I did Google placenta eruptions, you explained it so well and much better!

I’m a placental abruption survivor but unfortunately my daughter wasn’t and was born sleeping. Educating women in the signs of an abruption is so important. After losing my daughter I realized I had all the signs when coming into the hospital and my Dr failed me. It’s very important for women to know the signs and advocate for themselves. Unfortunately drs tend to miss a lot because they just want a “normal” delivery situation.

I was on bed rest for almost my entire pregnancy because of a possible placental abruption. I had a hemorrhage right behind my placenta. It’s super scary

I watched your video and see nothing wrong with how you were educating on what to look for, in no way were you capitalizing on her tragedy! Keep up the great videos

You used her situation to educate people. Other content creators exploited it for their own content, and it was sickening to watch. As a pregnant, high-risk Black woman who is scared, I appreciate you highlighting that distinction.

People are going to talk yeah but one lost her baby and one didn’t. I think that’s what they see.

Talking about these things are important! I ended up with peripartum cardiomyopathy and have never heard of that either. Women need to know about what could go wrong so we can advocate for ourselves.

I had a placental abruption. I had absolutely never heard of it before. I had all the symptoms you described, but it was my first and I was 39 weeks pregnant. I thought I was just having bad contractions. The bleeding was the indicator that made me go to the hospital. I was very lucky that my child survived and only suffered mild brain damage from the oxygen deprivation. It’s so so important to educate expecting moms as it’s not something that’s often discussed.

A Whole Mess :
Honestly as a pregnant who tries to not google stuff like this from anxiety, I find it very helpful to inform women without causing fear or panic. And I think ANY woman who has gone through this would want other women to know the risks, risk factors, and symptoms so they can be properly educated.
