You can keep them, but they have to be thoroughly dried out. If they’re not dehydrated enough the residual moisture can be enough for them to mold

what do you mean? I have dried oranges that are years old. looks like either you didn't dehydrate them enough or there was too much moisture how you stored them

I live in the PNW, lots of moisture here… mine are still going strong. You didn’t dehydrate them all the way

Maybe store them in something with those silica packets that come in other products (or purchase some online).

I store mine in a zip lock bag in the basement and mine were fine.

store them with moisture beads, and make sure they were totally dry, no gummy parts. they will last.

I made an orange garland last year. I hung it over my kitchen window, and it hung there all year. It’s in pristine condition to this day.

ive kept mine up for 2 years but I have a very very dry house, they're probably dehydrating from moisture in the air. you could maybe put something on to seal them after fully dehydrating them to make them last if you wanted?

oh man! I have multiple strings of them that I've been using for 3 or 4 years now. They look the same as the day that I made them. I made sure to store them in a Ziploc bag in my Christmas totes.

I kept mine out all year. Just tossed them because there is no scent anymore and I’m making more. It might be the way they were stored!

I've seen several people keep them. dunk the slices in mod podge or spray mod podge them
