This past weekend marked two days of sold-out burlesque workshops in a country I had never even visited before. And it was the same thing with London the weekend before. Still glowing from Paris... 🇫🇷 Okay so I know social media gets a bad rap, but never underestimate its power to create real human connection when used with intention. This past weekend marked two days of sold-out burlesque workshops in a country I had never even visited before. And it was the same thing with London the weekend before. Both cities sold out within 48 hours - some of my fastest-selling workshops ever. It’s really easy to poke fun at artists and performers sharing "content" or people sharing their journey, but through these platforms, we have the world at our fingertips. At what other point in history could an artist travel to a new country and be met by a pre-established community or fanbase? Social media is how I’ve been able to connect with, uplift, inspire, and befriend people across oceans before we even meet in person. To show up in a new country and get recognised in the streets and to already feel "at home" because of the resonance of our shared passion actually feels surreal. I know it feels vulnerable to share your journey online. It’s easy to stay quiet to avoid judgment, but your art deserves to be seen. I want to see it. Whether it’s a polished routine recorded professionally or a phone video of you stumbling through a new move in your living room - please just share it. Because sharing your art isn’t ‘content’, it's how your future community finds you. Don’t ever let the fear of being 'too much' or 'not enough' keep you from the world. Sometimes you just need your art and the courage to hit 'share’ 🤷‍♀️ #paris #burlesquefrance #dance
