toys made to mimic cockle burs are wretched. in my childhood we would end up with cockle burs matting our hair from playing where we shouldn't. Sometimes we'd have bubblegum in the mix. our mothers used mayonnaise to help remove them, probably because it's so oily

Someone got these for my oldest daughter in 2020 for Christmas. Her hair is like Merida from Brave. We played with them, me without turning my back to her at all, and then slowly phased them out. I was terrified of this happening to her.

I got nature’s version of those stuck in my hair one day when I leaned down cleaning tall weeds out of a garden. It happened so fast, and took barely a brush of my hair against them. I can see how this could happen.

had that happen years ago to one of my daughters. was at my sister's house and her daughter had them and my sister insisted that they wouldn't get stuck in their hair. she lied.

My sister and her friend put these in my hair once. We had to cut some out, but oil and a metal comb helped! My poor grandma and mom worked on it for hours
