@adamevehomesteading: Before we acquired our 40 acre homestead to live our homesteading dreams, we learned many useful skills like making bread with wild yeast (aka sourdough)! That was actually exactly 2 years ago this month. An elderly neighbor gifted it to us and I’ve since made: pretzels 🥨 pasta 🍝 biscotti, scones, pancakes 🥞 all kinds of buns 🌭 🍔 pies 🥧 and cakes 🍰 with it. Now that we are off grid I’m inclined to attempt 100% hand mixing even though our mixer is right outside in the shipping container used as storage! That means the recipe and technique that call for using a mixer had to be modified.
