I could talk on this subject forever. I compare healing some emotional wounds to healing a burn wound. You have to rip the scab off sometimes because it may not heal properly the first time so it has to be torn wide open again in order to heal. On top of that, I think you may be “healed” until you learn new perspectives. And then you end up looking at the wound with new eyes and have to start all over.

Ouch. This is so real and raw though. I think time really does heal for the most part. With its exceptions of course, but only if you let yourself experience the sadness instead of repressing it.

I call those thoughts 💭 my ego and I tell that ego to go paint something when any thought 💭 comes up I don’t want. It works for me. Can not change it or do anything about that past so no point in putting my mind where it shouldn’t be. I have good thoughts 💭 and those can stay anytime they want 🩵
