I had a hysterectomy at 27, the fibroids (there were 3!) were so big they were the size of a 33 week fetus. And when I finally had the surgery, we found that another one had just started to grow. It was so awful!

ughhhh fibroids. my laparoscopic hysterectomy had to become an open abdominal hysterectomy due to a giant calcified fibroid blocking my cervix. which wouldn't be such a big deal if I hadn't already had 3 abdominal surgeries in the exact. same. spot. the scar is gnarly. 😭

I had a myomectomy at 31 and a hysterectomy at 38. Best choice ever, should have kicked my uterus out the first time. My largest fibroid was larger than a babies head.

One of my 3 was the size of a grapefruit, and was inside, outside, and all the way through the baby making bacon. A second was (as my doc described) a stalagtite.

I had a hysterectomy 1 year ago and I have a photo of my uterus (post removal), it was so deformed from multiple fibroids it was unrecognisable!

Can you talk about adenomyomas? I didn’t know what they were until I developed one and my excision surgeon removed it.
