Using their logic you could say the same thing about makeup, filters, waist shapers etc. I was a “pure natural” for years and woke up one day and started straightening it. It fit my style and lifestyle better. It’s just preference.

Why do they stay policing what others do with their hair??? It's insane. Some people wear makeup, some don't. Some wear their natural hair out, some don't. Or some people do a mix of both. Who the hell cares!

As someone who has permed big chopped, “went natural” wore wigs, braids and now locd. I do think as black women we’ve been conditioned not to like our hair as much as we should. I also understand our textures our time consuming and WORK. ATP the braiding hair and perms have been proven to be unsafe. That my biggest concern. I rather see us doing natural however it works for you then place that hair on your scalp. These Asians and hair companies do not care about the long term effects it has on our hormones. Too many black women have PCOS and other hormonal issues

Seems when the conversation is being had they are speaking on those who “never ever” and speak on it as if they would “never ever”. Not doing it a lot or occasionally is different. “Never ever” to what god gave you SHOULD be a little worrisome. But it seems ppl want to ignore the “never ever” to invalidate the obvious point.😭 And there are fully people who say “never ever” to natural hair. There’s something wrong there.
