If you read into the roots of second wave feminism, it was never about uplifting women. It was about tearing down the family unit. If a woman wants to be feminine, get married, have children, etc she is going against feminism even though it's literally just a woman's choice.

I think you’re touching on an important dynamic in the development of gender for the past century or so. While I agree and I think you’re right that traditionally feminine activities are powerful, they haven’t really been embraced by men the same way that traditionally masculine activities are embraced by women. If men began genuinely embracing childrearing and homemaking (just one example), then I think that would go a long way in breaking down the subtle assumption that feminine activities suck compared to masculine ones

I see the girlboss feminist movement more as a counter balancing measure to the society we grew up in, I don’t think “empowerment” ever meant giving up traditional feminine roles, just that you could do both.

I feel the fourth wave of feminism seemed to benefit almost as much as it harmed itself by the use and expansion of social media. The nuances get lost in easily digestible posts which caused a lot of confusion. Too many zero sum points of view when it should focus on the massive grey area that is individualism.

Once the paradigm shifts..
your debts will be canceled. The system itself will collapse.
plus, land and homes with mortgages will be given to you for free.. mortgage will collapse too.
Your monetary system will be without usury and currency devaluation.
Thus.. women don't need to work.
you do not need double incomes to just get by.
so.. just get married and raise children and get saved.

This is the most unique and agreeable take I’ve ever heard, most either see feminism as a movement too dominant to be seen as a rights group or just a rights group.

You should look into intersectional feminism- I think you’ll connect with it ❤

Feminists won equality and then continued to fight anyways. If a movement does not have well defined goals it will never end, and will just find a new enemy.

yep 100% women are NOT men. ans we are both powerful IN DIFFERENT WAYS and that was missing from the modern feminist movement. celebration of traditional feminine traits and qualities.

The issue is that they promoted masculine things as meaning your powerful. To your point you don’t have to be masculine to be equally empowered. Men and women are massively different but neither is or should be viewed as subsidiary, anecdotal cases should always be supported but no one should be told that if your not this then your less or not supporting. The biggest issue is that your ideology is seen as suppressive. And that in itself is anti feminism by feminists

the book "why women have better sex under socialism" by Kristen Ghodsee is a really good, quick primer on the dichotomy between liberal feminism and a more socialist conception of feminism. "everyday utopia" by her is also really good. she's a very engaging writer and explains concepts well. highly recommend

Girl congrats on seeing through the deception. It was never about women’s rights. Otherwise ‘women’ and ‘feminine’ would have been empowered as you said. I agree on equal rights and opportunity should be there- non negotiable

I fear women have lost sight at how powerful being a wife and mother is. How powerful being an elementary school teacher is etc. There are many things that a woman excels more than a man in, that have extremely powerful impacts. And I feel like feminism is about bringing to light how badass those things really are. But you're right, modern feminism is just women trying to do everything a man does.

i consider myself a first wave feminist with the suffragettes in the early 20th century. great talk, i enjoy your thoughts, you articulate succinctly and your thinking links interesting tangents, i find myself intellectually provoked in the most healthy and curious manner needed for positive mental growth, so thank you. i find myself to be 60% masculine and 40% feminine and i like women that are 50% to 70% feminine. i have other opinions on this subject but i do not know your religious leanings, i myself am in a christian minority, we get alot of hate, so it would be inappropriate of me to interject any religious sentiments because i don't want to disrespect you but yeah, i enjoy your yaps and can't wait to hear what you yap about next.
