Can we all just be aware that these are not safe unless used by a healthcare professional. The placenta and baby’s heartbeat sounds very much the same. Please refrain from buying one and only allow a midwife/dr/nurse to listen in on baby

Once you’ve reached viability please please please do not use these to give you peace of mind. Babies have a heartbeat up until the moment they die, a heartbeat doesn’t mean they are okay and not in extreme distress. At the hospital we look at so much more than a heartbeat existing. If you’re concerned enough to use a Doppler you need to go to a hospital and be evaluated, a home Doppler won’t catch issues until it’s far to late.

I wouldn't use one of these unless you have enough training to distinct between baby's HR and moms, even if you do find babies FHR it doesn't always guarantee safety (especially if you have decreased movement), as there is so much more that goes into a babies FHR (baseline, variability, decelerations)
