This is horrible and tragic. I think there may be some liability on the part of the company, but doesn't everyone know this is THE risk of sky diving?? Doesn't everyone have to sign a waiver saying they understand this? I dont think the company should have to pay $40M. They should have to pay something, maybe a couple of million, but definitely not 40.

Wow 20 deaths is crazy. I mean you know the risk when you do it but 20 is a lot. All instructors should be certified. if he had been certified they wouldn't have gotten sued because you cant make a parachute open
