@rollinjoint: I went to Japan Centre with @keiryian for quick lunch and then saw Napolitan pasta and it brought nostalgia. It tasted just like something I had in cafeteria in middle school. So I reached out to #japancentrelondon for a collaboration. They have happily agreed. This is not paid, but I did get three pasta for free 😀 Japanese pasta didn’t start with Italy at all. It started around 1800 when Japan first tried Western food and had no idea how pasta was “supposed” to taste. So they cooked it like noodles. It was soft, simple, comforting. Then after WWII, ketchup entered Japan and Napolitan was born. That’s the moment Japanese pasta became its own thing. And now you can try that style right in Leicester Square. Japan Centre, the main hub for Japanese groceries and quick meals in London, just opened a new ground-floor section. They’re serving four Japanese-style pastas: Napolitan Bacon, Mentaiko, Garlic Mushroom, and Yuzu Chicken. All under £12 and all very Japan-style comfort food. 🆔 @japancentre 📍35b Panton St, London SW1Y 4EA 💷 Price : £11 - £12 per person 🥬 Vegan Option : available 🥦 Gluten Free Option : not available (Please ask the staff before) 🥒 Halal Meat : not available #londonjapanesefood #japanesepasta
